Meet our staff members who strive every day to bring optimal care and passion to your four-legged friends. We are a single doctor clinic with a small close-knit technician team so your pet builds a lifelong relationship with our staff.
Dr. Kathy Martin
Dr.Martin earned both a Biomedical Science degree in 1988 and a DVM in 1993 from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced in small animal and emergency clinics in the Houston/Magnolia area before opening LSAH in 2008. Dr. Martin lives in Magnolia and has three sons; Noah, Kyle, and Cole. Her beloved husband and fellow TAMU veterinarian passed away in October of 2020 after a 4 year battle with cancer.

Devon graduated in 2008 from Sam Houston State University with a degree in business. Devon has been working in the veterinary field since 2000 and has been with Dr. Martin since 2004. She is an integral part of the day to day function of the clinic. Devon's skill set includes exam room and surgical protocols, grooming, and client care coordinating. She currently lives in the Lake Conroe area with her cat, Froggie and french bulldog, Bug. She also owns a horse, Princess Fiona and is an active member of competitive horse shows.
Aimee has been a team member since 2012 and continues to bring a solid background of knowledge and experience. She has worked in the veterinary field both in the US and UK. She graduated Sam Houston State University in 2017 with dual-majors in Animal Science and Biochemistry. She is currently enrolled in a veterinary technician program to pursue her LVT license to make her passion for animals her life long career. Aimee lives in Magnolia with her husband, Ash, and their three dogs and their cat. She and her husband welcomed their first child in early 2021.
Sarah Willenberg Millis
Sarah joined us in Fall 2020 and is proving to be a great addition to the Lone Star Family. Sarah was born and raised in Magnolia Texas and graduated from Magnolia High School. Over the last 10 years she has advanced from starting in a kennel position role to becoming a lead veterinary technician. Graduating from the Animal Behavior College she has achieved her certification in animal behavior and nutrition. Sarah has a passion for animals and is continuing her education to become a licensed veterinary technician in the coming years. Sarah is married and has 3 children, and 3 fur-children( 2 dogs & 1 cat). Sarah spends her free time going camping and on adventures with her jeep group.
Kennel Manager/Technician Assistant
Priscilla joined our team the end of summer 2020. Her kind nature and ease with all animals, has allowed her to accel as the lead kennel supervisor at Lone Star Animal Hospital. With her desire to constantly improve her skills and knowledge we are excited to see her continue to grow in her veterinary career. Priscilla lives in Magnolia with her husband and daughters.
Keala joined our team in the summer 2021. She has been a delight to bring to our team. Her energy and love of all things cats is infectious! She loves all animals and takes great care to connect with each boarding animal that stays with us. Kayla would like to continue her path in veterinary medicine to help take care of animals in need.
Client Service Representative
Kim started with LSAH in early 2022. Her bright personality is easy to see as the first face our clients see when they arrive. She is learning more regarding veterinary medicine everyday and strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment for our clients and their beloved pets when they arrive. She enjoys spending time with family, playing with her cows and playing Rugby.
Dr. Dan Simpson
Dr. Simpson earned his doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. Dr. Simpson owned his own practice in Houston for 27 years, but decided to work together with his wife, Dr. Kathy Martin in 2018. Dr. Martin and Dr. Simpson were married for 27 years and have three sons together. Update: Unfortunately, Dr. Simpson lost his 4 year battle with cancer on Oct 22nd 2020. He will be greatly missed here at the practice and within his community.
